Female baldness and thinning mane problems are mainly due to the styling products that they make use of and also the wrong habits followed. They are aware of the styling products available in the market but have no clue on how to maintain them post exposure to chemicals and other styling ingredients. It is indispensable to create awareness about the ingredients used in these styling products and also how to maintain your mane for a period of time post treatment.

Dry follicles and Oily follicles

It is important to understand what type of mane do you have? Do not use chemical products on your mane if it is too dry. Your strands may get brittle if it is too dry as they have no strength to withstand the chemical composition of the styling products. However, oily strands are stronger than the dry ones and they can withstand the styling products. This will not leave behind the oily follicles in safe mode, they too need post care after exposure to harsh chemical products. It is only a fact to rejoice that you can use these products and change your style provided you follow good care tips.

There are several products for dry mane but they are not really advisable for straightening as these products are very harsh on your dry follicles. One must take care while using blow dry on your follicles. You must use leave in conditioners before drying your mane so that heat waves will not do more harm. Use the lowest heat setting so that it does not completely break the follicles and make them brittle. Do not use blow dryers every time you wash your mane. Let it dry up naturally and your mane needs a break from those heat waves.

What are hemorrhoids and what do I have to do to relieve the discomfort? They are also known as piles and they are caused from too much pressure on the anal veins that can result in either external or internal hemorrhoids.

Internal hemorrhoids have no lump outside the anal area that can be seen. While external hemorrhoids can be easier to see they can also be the most painful. There are many people in the world who suffer from hemorrhoids and mostly occur in people over the age of fifty. There are many ways to deal with hemorrhoids but one of the simplest methods is the sitz bath. A sitz bath can actually relive some of the discomfort and reduce the swelling.

What is a sitz bath? It’s a bath where you sit in warm water that covers your buttocks and hips. The idea is that sitting in the warm water will help more blood to reach the anal area which can help promote healing and help with any discomfort from the hemorrhoids. It is a kind of hydrotherapy or water therapy for hemorrhoids.

You can actually buy a sitz bath which is a plastic bath that fits over a toilet. However, using your bath tub is probably the simplest way to have a sitz bath. Fill up your bath with warm water. You want it warm enough to be comfortable but not too hot. Again, the water needs to cover your buttocks and hips and it is recommended that you partially lie down rather than sit in the bath to relieve any pressure on the anal area.

You may also want to add some aromatherapy oils to the water to help you relax. Choose your favorite oil but using Lavender, Melissa or Valerian Oil make for a great relaxing bath. Another good choice is adding epsom salts to the water which is recommended by many practitioners. Epsom salts helps to draw toxins out of the body, reduces swelling and relaxes muscles. As well, epsom salt is also known for helping to relieve inflammation and pain. Epsom salts can be purchased from most drug stores.

You will want to stay in the bath for about twenty to thirty minutes several times a week to promote healing. When you get out of the bath you will want to use a clean, cotton towel to dry the area. Make sure you don’t rub but pat the area dry with the towel. If you like you can also let the area air dry which some practitioners recommend so you aren’t causing any distress to the area again.

Baby dental Care is a important issue for you. As a parent, you want to make your child understand the importance of dental hygiene. However, you need not wait until your child is old enough to brush and floss. Ideally, you could begin this process even before your baby cuts the first tooth. Dentists advise initiating your baby to a dental care routine by gently cleaning the gums even before primary teeth start erupting.

Early dental care also helps to guard against baby bottle-tooth decay. This condition occurs in babies who are put to bed with a bottle in their mouth. The sugar in the milk (or juice) contains micro-organisms that attack your baby’s teeth. Baby bottle-tooth decay can be quite severe in some children.

Follow these techniques to give your baby an early start on preventive dental care:

• Select a time when your baby is in a co-operative mood. Active co-operation is important, as it will ensure good results.

• Wipe the gums with clean gauze wrapped around your finger; this is sufficient for the proper care of gums at this stage.

• Begin flossing as soon as your baby cuts two adjacent teeth.

• Ensure that your baby does not go to sleep with a bottle of milk, juice, or other sugar containing liquids.

• Early initiation will help your child develop the right attitude toward dental hygiene.

If you suffer from dry skin you might want to consider using wrinkle creams that have specific types of moisturizer ingredients. The beauty of using these types of products is that they also help in the anti aging process. Take the time to repair your dry skin and you’ll minimize the damage that will be left behind. The body is so resilient to damage, but it can only do so much. By taking care of dry skin using wrinkle creams, you’ll be creating an environment for long term care.

What kinds of things can you do to help your dry skin?

1) Long showers especially during cold weather are one of the luxuries that should be avoided. Even using wrinkle creams with moisturizers can only do so much if you take too many long hot showers. You see the hot showers actually rob your skin of moisture. The best way to correct this problem is to take warm showers. I know this doesn’t sound as appealing but if you want to keep you skin looking young and supple it really is the best thing to do. Once down with your shower then be sure to add wrinkle creams and moisturizers to your skin right away to lock moisture in.

2) Use a humidifier. It is amazing to think that a simple method of adding moisture to your skin is to use humidifiers that are pretty abundant online as well as at the department stores. Your dry skin is, of course, the result of lack of moisture. So, by humidifying your room, you’ll add moisture to the air. You can also accomplish this cheaply by moisturizing your face with a steam coming from a radiator or heating water on the stove.

3) One of the worst things for your skin is using facial cleansers that are too harsh. Fortunately, wrinkle creams also come in many different formats including cleansers. And, the ingredients can also be natural so as not to be hard on your skin. The natural products don’t generally have any harsh chemicals associated with them.

The best skin care for dry skin is prevention in the first place. Avoid places that rob your skin of moisture and keep preventive type products around. Yes, wrinkle creams can add moisture back into your skin, but make sure you also add your own preventive measures to complement them.

4) Some wrinkle creams do also come with ingredients that include lactic acid. This is a great ingredient as it is one of those things that actually add moisture back into your skin. It actually attracts moisture rather than prevents it. Lactic acid can do wonders especially during the extremely dry seasons of both winter and summer, in many places.

5) Look for products that can possibly work on both your face and the rest of your body. In other words wrinkle creams are generally thought of as found only for your face. But there are products that are used for the body that, in some cases, can also be used on your face. Some of these products, including Petroleum jelly may also be used on your face, but there are those who are opposed to using this ingredient because they think it’s too greasy. However, it may very well be what your dry skin needs.

In a previous article I spoke about my research for my new health information web site, and, of course, one thing that became apparent is information about men’s health issues. In particular those ‘hardly’ ever talked about annual prostate examinations and testicular cancer.

Men don’t teach their sons about male health issues like women teach the daughters about female problems to watch for. In fact, it seems there is a taboo for men to speak naturally about any health issues between the thighs and the belly button.

And, heaven forbid if they have to teach their boys about examining their ‘bits’ like women have to regularly do breast examination for lumps.

And, in the issue of testicular cancer, it is a young man’s cancer – so the imperative becomes critically important – yet, like discussing emotions, men, in general, shy away from such subjects.

There are all sorts of cultural, social and other excuses for the deplorable neglect of good health prevention practices amongst men, but in the long run they are simply hang ups mixed in with skewered ideas of what it is to be manly.

Youth, naturally, do not consider themselves vulnerable to death or injury, and older men need to provide the example. Especially in light of the fact that this cancer has one of the highest cure rates of all cancers.

As for annual prostate examinations – the embarrassment factor rises by umpteen percent at the thought of digital rectal examination – so nothing is often done – yet early detection gives hugely increased chance of cure. The good news is that the PSA blood test is available and it at least should be a regular part of an annual check up for men over 40. PSA simply stands for Prostate Specific Antigen – a protein in men’s blood used to screen for the cancer.

Education about preventive health care is an absolute necessity overall in our communities – the savings on the tax dollar alone are worth it.

More so for men is health education an imperative from an early age – preferably in schools and as part of normal family practice. And, it should include tests like the PSA so that as boys grow and mature they become accustomed to the normalcy of preventive health care and, the prostate (and testicular cancer) in particular.
