Around my town, the local hospital was having a twelve week biggest loser contest. A few of my patients were going to participate in the program. Two of the girls decided they would fare better if they exercised together at the local gym. Diligently every morning at 5am they would go to the gym and work out an hour before heading to work and the results were starting to show. The loss was about 6-10 pounds the first month and a little less the last 2 months of the curriculum. But all in all, these two girls had done well. Now the structured program was over and the weight loss stopped.

When I saw one of the girls who had participated in the weight loss contest, I noticed she again looked the same. I asked her how the weight loss was going and she stated “awful.” She had gained back every pound and was at the same weight as before. I asked her what happened and she said “Her and her friend could not afford the gym and they had stopped their exercise routine.” “Why would that slow you down?” I asked and was amazed at the excuses which poured out of her mouth for my every suggestion.

Everyday, patients give me excuses for their extra 50-100 pounds. I told the gal that dieting didn’t have to be expensive. “What about power walking in the mornings since the weather has warmed up?” I asked. “Well, we did walk once, but it wasn’t fun.” She said. “What about getting together and performing the multiple exercise dvds you have?” I asked. “We were thinking about starting them.” She said and the list went on. Every time I made a proposal, she had another reason why she couldn’t lose weight. This gal had conceded to being overweight probably the rest of her life.

No one said dieting was an easy task, but it must be done for the benefit of one’s health.

Excuses do not belong in anyone’s vocabulary. Excuses are another way of admitting failure in ones personal or business situation. Have you ever asked your friends questions about why something has or has not happened to them? They always have an excuse to why the task was not accomplished or are quick to blame someone else for their misfortunes. Why not put the blame where the blame lies?

Losing weight is not brain surgery. It is not difficult to eat fewer calories and start an exercise routine. Get off the couch, bypass the refrigerator and lose the excuses.

Sometimes it’s difficult to remember that acne is a common condition that almost everyone has to deal with at some point in their life. Teenagers and young adults have a particular struggle with acne, as hormones and stress are especially common during those ages, which produces acne breakouts. Did you know that Neosporin could help you? Neosporin is an antibiotic that will kill the bacteria in the area you apply it to. Before bedtime, you should apply it to the acne in order to cause it to have a short life span. Honey is something that has natural antibacterial properties in it and it is perfect to use in the homemade acne treatment. In the end, some of the other types of homemade acne remedies you could use consists of baking soda, garlic, ice cubes, crushed aspirin (our favorite to use), potatoes and much more.

The faster you can get rid of hair loss, the better off you’ll be in regrowing your hair. This is a must for anyone who has been battling thin hair as a result of alopecia for some time. It is very frustrating to try one product after another with disappointing results. You lose trust in everyday hair loss treatments.

It’s frustrating to be encountered by those blessed with clear skin who tell you that all you need is to wash your face. Acne is much more than a fleeting teen affliction. It is in fact a disorder that really affect ones self-esteem, self-confidence, and happiness, to minimize this only serves to minimize the anguish that many suffer on a daily basis.

The solution for those bad feeling is not easy but you can still try to deal with it. You can have cystic acne and still enjoy your social life. Try to take it as if the acnes aren’t there, and everyone else don’t bother bout your acnes too when socializing.

Proper skin care, a proper diet and exercise. I know it seems kind of obvious, but washing your skin twice daily and using the proper skin care items do wonders. Eating properly and exercising will also help clear up your cystic acne, as well as make you appear better all over. Eating properly doesn’t mean eating till you’re 100 pounds, either, but getting actual good nutrition.  If your acne is bad, and a month or two of skin care and diet doesn’t help, go see a dermatologist.

Some people experience a miracle when they use medication and formulas, for others, other prescriptions are needed. Also, try to see what triggers blemishes for example, if you’re stressed out, try to relax some more.  There are some foods which can aggravate acne by making your produce more sebum, you may want to avoid those foods if you figure out what they are. Keep in mind that your skin is not going to become clear over night, it’ll take months or years. Most likely if your acne is really bad, it won’t ever clear up completely, you’ll have to always keep it at bay with various products, and if you miss a day or two, some pimples will form.
